Charlie Brown Fundriaser in Beverly Hills? Wanna Go?
Posted by Aaron Park on August 16, 2008 at 07:16 PM
Sorry Charlie – time to stop whining about McClintock being from SoCal. You’ve just been drilled! Don’t you think it is kind of absurd to whine about someone from SoCal getting money from SoCal when…
This one is a bit out of my price range, but I did want to let all Southern California readers know that Congressman Brad Sherman is hosting a reception for Charlie Brown on Wednesday, August 20th, at 7pm in Beverly Hills. Presuming Charlie is present, of course, it would be a good opportunity for anyone who hasn’t gotten the pleasure of meeting him in person to finally do so (and throw in some money to the campaign, for those who can afford it!).
$2300 Charlie’s Angel Host
$500 Co-Host
$150 General Admission
Who is Brad Sherman? Sherman is a Liberal Democrat from California’s 27th Congressional District. So Much for Charlie Brown’s calls for Post-Partisanship. So Much for Charlie the Moderate..
Hat Tip to Calitics for posting about this.

Look at yourself in the mirror. You are the arrogant and the avoidant one. You think you can set the issue agenda to fit your narrow, fear, and hate mongering ways. Homosexuals are singled out as so-called “sinners” by those who want to avoid the more encompassing issues of the day.
GREED is mentioned well over 200 times in the Bible. The PCRA website had a link to a lengthy well written piece about how this great nation is losing its way because of greed. Did you read that piece?
You and your brother have personally lined your pockets with the greed zeitgeist. You are part and partial beneficiares of the greed driven, Ponzi game-like residential real estate boom gone bust. The more and the bigger the homes being built, the more and the larger the homeowners insurance policies were sold by you.
The keeping up with the Jones auto buying boom also benefitted your pockets. The newer and fancier the vehicle, the larger the your cut of the premiums.

Jennifer Bloomfield-Montgomery Endorsed by the Sierra Club
Posted by Aaron Park on June 29, 2008 at 05:43 PM
You knew this was coming… the folks that bring us environmental lawsuits to prevent forest thinning and debris removal… and attempting to return us to the stone age.
Montgomery has already come out against much-needed road improvements in the Kings Beach-Tahoe City-Truckee Area. Apparently, she would rather have idling cars belching pollution and people using residential streets to get around than the main thoroughfare.
As to the Sierra Club – they have a history of placing insects over people… Looks like they and Montgomery enjoys inhaling smoke and looking at taillights… (they’d all probably rather ban tourism from Tahoe altogether.)
Below is the email that the Sierra Club sent out – I had to edit it, but it is 98% complete.
Sierra Club Supporter,
I think you know how important this election is for Placer County. So much of what we have struggled for over the years hangs in the balance. What happens in the race in Supervisorial District 5 will decide the direction of the county for years to come. Will the big influx of developer money pave the way for a Bruce Kranz victory over Jennifer Montgomery in November? Will sprawl despoil the pristine beauty of Donner Summit? Do we face a future of sprawl from Roseville to Auburn and beyond? Are we ready to have a Supervisor who truly cares and will represent both sides of the poorly gerrymandered Placer County?
It really depends on whether you and I are willing to step up.
We usually don’t ask for money, but the future of the place where we live is at stake. While Jennifer Montgomery is taking no money from big developers that is exactly where Bruce Kranz is getting his financial backing. As we approach the election in November, Jennifer must be able to get her message out and respond to relentless attacks in the form of Kranz’s slick mailers.
With the June 30th Campaign Finance Reporting deadline at hand, this is an especially critical time to make a contribution to the Montgomery for Supervisor campaign, because Jennifer needs to show that she has the grassroots support and the financial muscle to compete with a Kranz campaign that is funded by powerful development interests.
If you think this county should stay a livable place and not a suburb of Sacramento, please make a contribution toward electing Jennifer Montgomery for supervisor. You can donate online at www.lettahoeburndowntotheground.org, or write a check to “Montgomery for Supervisor” and send it to Montgomery for Supervisor, San Francisco, CA 95728.
Thank you,

Jennifer Bloomfield-Montgomery's Vision for Placer County
Posted by Aaron Park on June 24, 2008 at 07:21 AM
... or lack thereof.
Try not to breathe deeply when you read this post.
Have you noticed lately that your vision is impared, the air stinks and there are ashed and soot all over the place?
This is because the Sierra Club, Sierra Watch and the League to Save Lake Tahoe have been using Gray Davis and Arnold appointed judges to successfully fight off any thinning / clearing of forests.
The forests get thicker and denser. They ignite much more easily because dry, decaying brush is laying on the ground waiting for lightning to strike – or for some pyro.
It would seem to me that environmental protection would not include forest management policies that puke tons of ash into the air.
You can’t even say that pristine tinderbox forests are good for the wildlife – they can’t be benefitting from breathing this crap.
Jennifer Bloomfield-Montgomery and her friends in the environmental movement apparently want Placer County to burn up like a tinderbox as they are the number one advocate against sensible forest management.
The Bloomfield-Montgomery vision for Placer County – restricting yours.
Think it is far-fetched? Look at Bloomfield-Montgomery’s donor list, it reads like a who’s who of Enviros. Look at who the above listed organizations are supporting for Supervisor.
E-mail blasts Auburn Journal
Posted by Aaron Park on June 23, 2008 at 09:45 AM
Bruce;
Deric Rothe has never made any bones about being a liberal
and has a long history of brazenly using the Journal to pimp for the left’s favored causes.
His view is the only one that matters and no one who disagrees with him or his cronies is going to get ink or space.
Expect the leftists on the Journal to endorse Montgomery before the end of the campaign.
Of course, it will be completely “out of ecological awareness.” And you could fertilize your entire summer crop with that reason! (She’ll owe them big time and be genuflecting with open check book in all ecological directions to pay for it!)
You have my permission to archive this e-mail and when the
endorsement comes out, show Deric Rothe just how predictable he really is! As well as he and all his so-called “editorial staff” being bought and paid for by the liberal left!
Oh not for money! Perish the thought! They obviously act
only from “highest motives.” Just ask them. They’ll tell
you. (As honest and pure as the motives of a divorce
or plaintiff’s attorney!)
Neither Deric Rothe nor his editorial board have the
moral courage to have even a token conservative anywhere
near their paper, much less on their board! They don’t want
to hear diverging views…but they sure are quick to condemn those who have “closed minds.” (And that’s anyone who disagrees with them!)

What do the Placer County Democrats Know That we Don't
Posted by Aaron Park on June 18, 2008 at 07:04 AM
Blogs are sometimes a very informative medium.
Recently, we uncovered a blog entry by a young man who wanted to run for Placer Democrat Central Committee. He sounds like he was getting his inspiration from Bob Mulholland when he wrote.
The Irony is that he did not answer the bell to run as the Placer elections website did not show his name on the results.
The answer to the above question is found in the middle of his rant:
We need a voice in Placer County that is willing to stand up to conservative extremist County Supervisors like Kirk Uhler and Bruce Kranz, who see Placer County as the next Los Angeles. We need a person to speak up when Assemblyman Ted Gaines tries to push outgoing Congressman John Doolittle’s agenda of corruption and cronyism on us. In short, we need to send the message that this county belongs to all of us, not just special interests and private developers.
1. He must have been asleep when Gaines pulled an exploratory committee against Doolittle.
2. Why is it that only Kranz and Uhler get the label – I thought Weygandt and Holmes are Republicans, too?
3. The Democrats that read this blog must think attacks they agree with are OK and the ones they disagree with are “Smears that everyone are tired of”.
4. Some of the Republicans that read this blog may find the above comments from a Democrat activist informative as to how the other side perceives our Supervisors. (As in who gets the label and who does not…)
I would like to thank the Placer Democrat Party for providing a valuable public service – reminding us all of why Uhler and Kranz deserve our support.

ACU to Liberal Congress: Come Clean
Alexandria, VA—The American Conservative Union, the nation’s leading conservative organization and host of the annual CPAC conference, today called on the liberal leadership in Congress to “come clean” over the bankrupt energy policies that have dramatically increased the cost of energy.
“The liberal leadership in Congress has opposed commonsense energy solutions for years,” said ACU Chairman David A. Keene. “Now, as Americans are paying higher prices at the pump, the liberals that run our Congress are scrambling to find ways to undo the havoc they helped wreak,” said Keene.
“Instead of facing up to their foibles, they are trying to follow the same old, tired playbook of taxing energy providers while promoting so-called alternative fuels that are not even currently commercially viable. These policies make things worse by driving up prices and reducing incentives for domestic energy production. They need to come clean with the American public,” he added.
ACU points to specific examples of where liberal leadership has failed the American people:
- On May 25, 2006, the House passed a bill to authorize oil and gas production in ANWR—Pelosi voted no and liberals in the Senate killed it.
- On June 7, 2006 the House voted to expand oil refinery construction—Pelosi voted no and liberals in the Senate killed it.
- A few weeks later on June 29, 2006 the House voted to end the moratorium on offshore oil and natural gas exploration—Pelosi voted no yet again and liberals in the Senate killed it.
Larry Hart, Director of Government Relations for the American Conservative Union, added that as recently as May 13 of this year, the Senate attempted to create a comprehensive energy package to increase domestic oil and gas production only to see it defeated by the liberal leadership once again.
ACU Executive Vice President Dennis E. Whitfield said ACU will continue its push to mobilize grassroots support for a comprehensive energy policy with the following elements:
• No new energy taxes
• Prudent development of known U.S. energy reserves
• A rational permitting process that will allow the construction of new and modern refineries
• Long-term development of alternative sources of energy, including the expansion of nuclear power
“It is time to get real about a commonsense long-term energy policy in the U.S. We intend to hold the liberals in Washington accountable for their inaction and hypocrisy,” added Whitfield.

Black conservatives conflicted on Obama campaign
Posted by "Pat Buchanan, Jr." on June 14, 2008 at 03:02 PM
It seems as though our conservative African American friends are more racist than they are loyal to their own political ideaology.
“Black conservative talk show host Armstrong Williams has never voted for a Democrat for president. That could change this year with Barack Obama as the Democratic Party’s nominee.”
“Among black conservatives,” Williams said, “they tell me privately, it would be very hard to vote against him in November.”
“J.C. Watts, a former Oklahoma congressman who once was part of the GOP House leadership, said he’s thinking of voting for Obama. Watts said he’s still a Republican, but he criticizes his party for neglecting the black community. Black Republicans, he said, have to concede that while they might not agree with Democrats on issues, at least that party reaches out to them.”
“Likewise, retired Gen. Colin Powell, who became the country’s first black secretary of state under President George W. Bush, said both candidates are qualified and that he will not necessarily vote for the Republican.”
I guess it’s more about race than doing the right thing. Very sad. Just another thing that’s wrong with politics and our GOP leadership.
Rob Haswell Endorses Bruce Kranz!
Posted by Aaron Park on May 23, 2008 at 07:15 PM
Blogger’s Note – OK, made you look. But when the local Moonbats call Bruce Kranz one of the worst, it makes me get my checkbook out to donate money to that candidate.
Below is an email in it’s entirety begging the tree-huggers, peacenicks and tax-raisers to visit their local UNION OFFICE and make phone calls. I wonder if the union members know that their dues are paying the phone bills for this stuff…
Friends,
Two weeks from today we’ll be deciding the fate of Placer County’s Fifth District, where Jennifer Montgomery is locked in a TIGHT three-way battle with incumbent Bruce Kranz and Bob Houston. Turnout will be LOW, so every SINGLE VOTE MATTERS!
I’m asking if each of you can give us one two-hour shift of phonebanking, either tonight, Wednesday, or Thursday night or next week. We phone from 6-8 p.m. in Auburn and Scott Johnson has been running this operation. Scott can be reached at 530-878-1566.
Tonight and Thursday we phone out of the CWA offices on the corner of Palm and Hwy 49:
Local 9431 Communication Workers of America, 161 Palm Ave , Suite 9 Auburn , California 95603
On Wednesday, we’ll be at: Stationary Local No. 39
2840 Richardson Drive, Auburn, CA 95603, 530-823-9374
(This is where the joint haswell/brown phonebank was held in 2006)
WE HAVE A REAL CHANCE to get Jennifer elected and she will make a wonderful supervisor, while at the same time replacing one of the worst in KRANZ. I know I ask much of all of you, but if you can help our cause this election it will go along way toward turning our county around. If you can give us EVEN ONE SHIFT this week, or next, it will be incredibly helpful in our efforts. (Blogger’s note – and KRANZ was even supported by Satan himself, John Doolittle…)
Again, thanks for all you do. Please let me or Scott know your availability.
