Follow up to Post About Black Americans and Obama... Disentigration of the Black Family Unit
Posted by Aaron Park on June 15, 2008 at 12:58 PM
Steve Frank has an excellent blog. Today’s installment was about the disintegration of the Black Family Unit.
This is especially timely because Obama must be feeling the same vibe. Obama received more glowing media coverage talking about Black Fathers needing to engage – ummm… Barak… you voted time and again for government programs that prevent that.
Steve Frank Writes:
My friend Tom Del Beccaro has a great line. He asks if anybody can remember the last War that the Democrats supported? No, not the Gulf War, or Bosnia. No it was 1964 and the LBJ War on Poverty. At that time government listed 14% of the people in poverty. Now, after spending $7 trillion, we still have 14% in poverty. This is another War the Democrats lost. One of the provisions of the Democrats War on the Family, er, Poverty, is that single mothers get more money and services than a man and a wife. so, fathers were kicked out of homes so more tax dollars could come in. In 1964 25% of black homes had no father. After 44 years of the Democrats War on Poverty, close to 90% of black families have no father at home. Government has killed Fathers Day in black families—will anybody other than Juan Williams say something? What amazes me is that the black community gives blind support to those who have harmed them the most. Maybe it is the Stockholm Syndrome? Pass this around. Please note that Barak Obama used a church to deliver his Father’s day message – where’s the ACLU. I happen to agree with Barak’s comments – but Barak himself is a hypocrite because he has voted for welfare programs that split families or penalize a family for having one working parent. Nice.
Doug LaMalfa / Dave Cox - everyone in the State Legislature - take notes, Team Ose thinks you are crooks. Ose is hiding behind Per Diem to Avoid Issues in campaign.
Posted by Aaron Park on May 11, 2008 at 03:44 PM
That’s correct. Ose has given himself another $700,000 to continue his barrage against Tom McClintock.
Ose Lifetime 62% from Citizens Against Government Waste – one of the worst Republican Scores.
The cornerstone of his campaign has been to attack Tom McClintock, (and his blog moonbats have parroted the rhetoric about…) the resident Evil of accepting Per Diem.
He is a crook because he lives in Elk Grove and is taking tax free per diem. Yet, at the same time Ose is attacking him for being from Southern California. Mean time, his anon commenters ignore the contradiction.
Tim Leslie got tax free Per-Diem for years while living in Carmichael and being registered in Tahoe City. I guess Tim Leslie is a crook, too.
Slight Problem – the National Taxpayer’s Union endorsed Tom McClintock. They would never endorse someone who was taking our money illegally. (Ose was back in DC calling McClintock a felon btw…)
118 of 120 members take per diem. The two that don’t can not – as their districts include the Capitol Building in them. (Dave Jones and Darrel Steinberg)
However, Doug LaMalfa takes per diem, Roger Niello Takes per diem, Dave Cox takes per diem.
Ahhh… but they both have only one residence. Ted Gaines – one residence… Rick Keene and Sam Aanestad, one residence, but they rented a house from Rico Oller for a few years. Are Keene and Aanestad gaming the system by renting a full-time residence while taking their checks tax free? LaMalfa does it, too… they all have to be crooks according to Doug Ose.
The only exemption is if you give the Per Diem to charity – (working kinda like Kirk Uhler’s “slush fund”) – then you’re not a crook. Only Ose can determine weather you qualify for an exemption from being a per diem crook – like the Liberal he is, he gets to determine how that money is spent in order to qualify you for an exemption.
Why has Ose made this such an issue? Why has Ose obsessively focused on Per Diem knowing that he would get hit over taking over twice as much in Farm Subsidies? Ose must have figured that he could shock and awe his opponents with his wealth, endorsement club and withering attacks. Ose’s supporters have also been as single-minded (as this blogger is accused of) in desperately trying to press home the Per Diem issue.
Ose is trying to hide his:
32% lifetime score from National Right to Life
48% lifetime score from the Eagle Forum
(Both have endorsed McClintock)
Andal tried to use Per Diem against McClintock in 2002. Andal and Ose have the same consultant – so there is no original thought going into today’s campaign. In fact, that consultant may have been playing fast and loose with campaign finance laws.
Now team Ose is forced to continue the Per Diem attacks because their foray into Tom’s voting record reveals McClintock opposing money-wasting resolutions and opposing bonds.
But wait – McClintock was the only vote against this resolution about base closures. McClintock was outspoken about the waste of money and how the resolution would do nothing to fix the problem – but it will make a nice hit piece for Ose to spend some more money on, won’t it?
Again – this requires deception in campaign attack ads, where half-baked research breeds half baked attacks.
What is irrefutable is Ose’s contempt for our values in the 4th CD.
His MainStreet Partnership letter deriding Right Wing Fringe Groups – his radio comment about “Philosophical Angels on the Head of a Pin”... show Ose’s soul. His despicable character attacks against McClintock show that he can not campaign on issues and the issues will ultimately take Ose apart.
55% from Federation for Immigration Reform (again, a horrid score for a Republican) – Ose’s response? To Get Pete Wilson to say that McClintock is lying – news flash, Wilson hates McClintock because McClintock led the opposition to his tax increases when he was Governor.
Lifetime D+ from the NRA? Go buy a life membership and watch the NRA endorse Tom McClintock.
Lifetime 52% from the Republican Liberty Caucus
Lifetime 55% from the Family Research Council – one of the worst Republicans again.
As Doug Ose continues his egomaniacal barrage against Tom McClintock, he provides a great backdrop for a quote to finish this post with…
Teddy Roosevelt said, “the only thing worse than hardness of heart is softness of brain”.
At recent debates – team Ose has been ridiculing the Citizens Against Government Waste Earmark Reform Pledge – commonly referred to the “No Earmarks” pledge.
Ose voted $800,000 for a Red Ant Farm, and he thinks Earmark Reform is silly. ($604K in Farm Subsidies be dammed…)
Arnold Out of Touch - Again (Endorses wrong Proposition and Ridicules Rural California)
Posted by Aaron Park on May 03, 2008 at 02:58 PM
Arnold loves Prop 99, his vision for California is to have your house paved over with a strip mall. Heck – Ose could build his Cabana anywhere in that case. Arnold is one of two sitting Governors that call themselves members of the Mainstreet Partnership – check their website…
The Mainstreet Partnership angle bears mention – Arnold is their poster child of what a Republican should be… Post-Partisan. It underscores the differences between the RMSP and the rest of the GOP. Read their scarlet letter if you have any questions about their vision of Unity in the GOP…
As to Arnold – watch him endorse property theft by local government, then read about him ripping on rural California… Nice, eh? Republican Main Street Partnership – the Republicans that are too sophisticated to cling to their Guns and Religion.
Arnold should be campaigning for Ose…

Arnold should be campaigning for Ose…
Recent News on Yes Prop. 98
Today’s Orange County Register condemned the governor’s recent opposition to Prop. 98 saying, “It’s disappointing that the governor would embrace such a transparent scare tactic” and encouraging voters to “cut through the smoke screen and realize that Prop. 98 is about protecting their property, and Prop. 99 is about endangering it.” Read the Editorial.
Supporters of Prop. 98 rallied in Redding earlier this week, where small business owner Hardev Bal was one of several property owners who spoke in favor of Prop. 98. Read the story.
Also this week, two more newspapers have urged support for Prop. 98. “The Victorville Daily Press says We urge support for real eminent-domain reform, Prop. 98, and opposition to phony reform, Prop. 99.

Karen England and the CRI had a few things to say about Arnold’s recent comments ripping on Northern Californians:
In a Beverly Hills speech yesterday, Governor Arnold Schwarzenegger made fun of “little town” legislators. Answering a question about why more lawmakers don’t travel the world to bring back ideas for our own nation, Schwarzenegger stated:
“—-I always encourage the legislators in Sacramento, because some of them come from those little towns. (Laughter) You know what I’m saying? They come from those little towns and they don’t have that vision yet of an airport. (Applause) Or of a highway that maybe has 10 lanes or of putting a highway on top of a highway. They look at you and they say, “Well, we don’t have that in my town. What are you talking about?” So they are kind of shocked when you say certain things.”
According to the Sacramento Bee, “His comments on small-town legislators drew laughs and applause from the big-city audience at the Beverly Hilton.”
“Most Californians are from small towns, and those citizens are hard working Americans with traditional values, stated Karen England, executive director for Capitol Resource Institute. “For the governor of California to ridicule legislators, and their constituents, is disgusting.”
“The governor is belittling our existence by attacking our elected representatives as unsophisticated rubes incapable of understanding complex issues of governance and technology,” continued England. “These unbelievable comments are further proof that Arnold Schwarzenegger is completely out of touch with our state and is an elitist.”
“How can we be assured that the governor will defend the average Californian’s values when he laughs at us and considers us backwards hicks?” questioned England.
“The governor’s comments bring to mind Barack Obama’s recent derogatory comments in San Francisco about small town citizens clinging to their guns and Bible,” stated Meredith Turney, legislative liaison for Capitol Resource Family Impact. “Both elitist politicians had no problem disparaging their constituents in front of friendly audiences in San Francisco and Hollywood. Average ‘little town’ citizens don’t want San Francisco or Hollywood ‘values’ forced upon us by arrogant office holders.”
Tell Governor Schwarzenegger what you think about his insulting comments.

Doug Ose Weakness Showing - has old Endorsements Rolled Out Again
Posted by Aaron Park on April 08, 2008 at 07:54 PM
This is a further sign of weakness by Ose – in the face of McClintock out-raising Ose by $100,000 in 4 less weeks…
Ose appears to be attempting to upstage McClintock coming to D.C. by rehashing old endorsements. Given anon pro-ose comments posted on blogs, there appears to be a coordinated effort to try and show that Ose is somehow gaining traction in this latest (3rd trip) to D.C.
A blog in San Francisco obviously did not check Ose’s website as their exclusive cites endorsements that are at least 2 weeks old if not 3 weeks old:
A letter simply dated March 2008 shows signatures from 12 former colleagues of Doug Ose.
The blog states an “Exclusive” of what we in this district have known for a few weeks.
Could Ose have re-circulated this letter in an effort to try and generate some publicity with/for this latest trip to DC?
A post on the Red County Blog whose title was “Ose Fundraiser a Success” was based on a phone call from and Ose endorser in D.C. on that trip to a consultant/blogger on the Red County Blog.
The series of events suggests more campaign chicanery from Ose. (Other than the bald-faced lies in his ads and on his signs)

Hypocricy! Johnson Clark sends Whining press release about "Paper" CRA Units
Posted by Aaron Park on March 17, 2008 at 08:01 PM
The attached press-release is Johnson-Clark at their best… they sent out a press release decrying a “Rigged” CRA endorsement by Paper Clubs.
I guess JCA forgot about the Yuba County (Sue Horne) RA – which has not held a meeting since chartered – and sent delegates to endorse Romney. This is the same Yuba RA unit that has not cashed dues checks of Yuba County Members seeking to join it.
Maybe JCA forgot about the Jim Nielsen RA Sutter Chapter and the Jim Nielsen RA Yolo Chapter – neither of which are holding meetings as best anyone can tell.
What do the Jim Nielsen and the Sue Horne RA chapters have in common? They were chartered at the behest of candidates that JCA is the consultant for.
Now JCA is crying when the tables get turned in the 71st. At least Jeff Miller is a Conservative – unlike Nielsen or Horne.
(Orange County) – Jeff Miller has a history of ignoring the rules in order to benefit himself, and today’s CRA endorsing convention was no different. Even though seventy percent of the 71st District is in Orange County, Miller started 5 or 6 ‘phantom’ CRA chapters in Riverside to effectively provide more delegates to the endorsing convention than the Orange County Side.
“Miller wanted to quiet the votes of Orange County conservatives, and he used trickery to get this done,” said Blais spokesman Tim Clark.
Miller’s team also brought delegates who, by rule, were not eligible to vote because they were still CRA members from other units outside the district. But, Miller threw his weight around and bullied officials to force exceptions to the rule. It’s these votes, along with those by Jeff Miller himself and his campaign staff, which put him over the top.
“Miller continues his shameful manipulation of the rules,” continued Clark. “That’s what got him into huge ethical trouble on the Corona Council, where he cost taxpayers $3 million in a deal to takeover power lines and enrich himself and his own company. Now, he’s corrupting GOP organizations in an effort to present himself as a conservative. It’s really a shame that he worked so hard to silence the voices of Orange County Conservatives.”
Did somebody ever stop to consider that this is standard faire in the CRA and has been so for years? The absurdity is that JCA would whine in the 71st while pulling the same crap in the 2nd and 3rd!
Doug Ose redlines the BS-O-Meter... Live on 1380 KTKZ Radio and telling whoppers
Posted by Aaron Park on March 11, 2008 at 06:41 PM
Doug Ose will say anything to get elected. I do mean anything.
LIE NUMBER ONE: I am the most Conservative in this Race! (this is the first in a series of 3 clips from the show)

He has gotten Moderate Congressman Dan Lungren to sign letters and voice ads labeling him a Conservative and has also gotten Lew Uhler and others into the act.
I have been hammering Ose on his record for weeks – but this radio appearance last Friday is an outrage. Ose contradicts himself and tells several straight out lies…
Clip number one:
“Doug Ose’s description of his ‘conservatism’”:Javascript and Flash must be enabled and installed to play this audio file.
After calling himself the Most Conservative in the race (Lie number one) and then goes into two cheap shots:
Talking about a track record of success – It is part of life for Republicans in the state legislature to get nothing done as the GOP is in the small minority in the State Senate and has been so for at least 30 years. It takes more courage to be a Republican State Senator in California than it does to be a Republican in the Majority in Congress.
Cheap Shot number two: “Philosophical Angels on the head of a pin.” Doug’s stances on the issues make his statement about being the most Conservative in the race a straight-out Lie.
The comment about philosophical Angels shows Doug Ose’s contempt for Conservatives. He seeks to classify our differences with him as Philosophical Angels on the head of a pin.
The following are some of those Philosophical Angels:
Voted NO on forbidding human cloning for reproduction & medical research. (Feb 2003)
Voted NO on funding for health providers who don’t provide abortion info. (Sep 2002)
Voted NO on banning Family Planning funding in US aid abroad. (May 2001)
Voted NO on Constitutional Amendment banning same-sex marriage. (Sep 2004)
