Mark Klang drops the Hammer on Charlie Brown

Posted by Aaron Park on July 05, 2008 at 12:49 PM

This is in response to Charlie Brown’s campaign email that resembled a little kid going one-up on his friends.

Brown basically bragged because he appeared at 5 events on July 4th VS. McClintock being at 2:

Todd/Charlie

I am very disappointed on your negative attack on Tom McClintock. For the record, Tom was in Lincoln for the 4th of July parade.

I would like you guys to remember that this campaign is no longer about John Doolittle.

Both of you told me you were going to run a campaign on the issues. Just like Obama, you say one thing and do the other. It looks like Charlie is no different than any other politician.

I spent 20 minutes one-on-one with McClintock a few weeks ago. Even if someone does not agree with everything Tom stands for, he is honest and tells you what he believes. He does not talk out of both sides of his mouth. He will not tell the voter what they want to hear. When he goes to Washington, he will try to do what is right for our district and the American people.

One word of advice regarding the military issue. Most of the voters, Republican or Democrat thank Charlie for his military service. I have said that he is a military hero. However, you will not win this election on Charlie’s military past. Remember Eric Egland, he tried to wrap himself in the flag. It did not help him.

I need someone in Washington that is not going to run a campaign like Obama. BTW – Maybe Tom wanted to spend some time with his family.

Tom is ready to talk about the issues. I do not think he is concerned with how many events Charlie went to on the 4th of July.

Tom McClintock is the best choice for the 4th CD.
