Jennifer Bloomfield-Montgomery - Let it Burn! How Dare you Drive Around Tahoe!

Posted by Aaron Park on July 10, 2008 at 02:45 PM

That’s right – the Sierra Club, the home of lawsuits preventing forest clearing and thinning has brought us their vision for the 5th Sup district – Traffic Congestion and Forest Fires.

Her supporters descended upon this blog with at least 7 comments of similar construction and someone who posted a U-Tube video link.

I thank them all for visiting, but from looking at the chief objections of their supporters – it looks like a chronic case of NIMBY. Not in my Back Yard…

So Rocklin is not the only place where the existing residents have decided to fight growth. People die in an alarming rate on our freeways today because in the 1970’s Jerry Brown torpedoed all freeway construction thinking that people would not come to California.

Jerry Brown should have tried to run our budget like Perata and Nunez in addition to stopping road construction, then he’d have been able to stop California’s growth – because our population has grown 250% since then and has only gone backwards recently with out of control spending.

The point being is Bloomfield-Montgomery’s people have hung their hats on stopping progress…

It is going to make a fun next four months.

Gavin Newsome’s dad is going to be digging for some more of his money to keep the Montgomery Freight Train Moving.
