Doug LaMalfa Staff Reunion Endorses Nielsen

Posted by Aaron Park on April 04, 2008 at 08:56 AM

I attended the CRA endorsing convention for the 2nd and 3rd Assembly District.

I have written that the Yuba County RA has not met since being chartered and how they have not cashed dues checks of people seeking to join. They certainly showed up with delegates yesterday – all of whom either work on Horne’s Campaign or for Doug LaMalfa. Nice.

The Yuba RA’s President lives in Placer County and is Sue Horne’s campaign manager.

This is especially ironic because Johnson-Clark wrote a whiny press release about Jeff Miller getting endorsed by Paper CRA Units in the 71st.

I wonder what their release is going to say about Nielsen’s endorsement. Two of the units with jurisdiction over that endorsement were entirely Doug LaMalfa staff or campaign staff.

Out of the four LaMalfa Units chartered – I will give the Tehama unit credit for being legitimate as they actually had a delegate that did not work for LaMalfa.

The irony here is that if something comes out of Nielsen’s residency issue – it could be a major black eye for the CRA and for Nielsen’s supporters.

As it is, you have to tip your cap to David Reade and Doug LaMalfa for knowing how to use the process!
