MSM calls Ose a Moderate / Ose's ads call himself a Conservative - Someone is Lying

Posted by Aaron Park on March 09, 2008 at 06:09 PM

This is an AP wire story that ran on March 8th. It was picked up in some 30 papers in California. The Bee’s reprinting is linked

While the story is about Colonel Klink entering the race – note how the media addresses Doug Ose.

AUBURN, Calif. —A Democrat who barely lost to conservative California Congressman John Doolittle two years ago is in the race again.

This time retired Air Force Lieutenant Colonel Charlie Brown is fighting for an open seat after Doolittle announced he will retire under the cloud of an FBI investigation.

The Roseville Democrat says his longtime residency in Northern California’s 4th Congressional District contrasts with both of the two Republican front-runners.

Conservative state Senator Tom McClintock represents a Southern California district, while moderate former Congressman Doug Ose lives in Sacramento outside the district.

Ose and McClintock face off in the June GOP primary election.

Brown served 26 years in the Air Force before retiring in 1998.

Ose’s ads are labeling him as a Conservative – we have laid out on this blog that he is not by virtue of his record – It is obvious that Ose is trying to re-write history.
