Doug Ose - Dirty Campaigner 2008 edition

Posted by Aaron Park on March 06, 2008 at 10:14 AM

When the Placer County Republican Central Committee endorsed Rico Oller a month ago, Ose was there in an attempt to intimidate members of the Central Committee.

Led by Ted Gaines – the Committee went 17-8 for Rico Oller.

Knowing full well that his goose was going to get cooked again at last night’s special Central Committee meeting, Ose resorted to a more conventional means of attempting to stave off the inveitable…

One member of the Central Committee has a relative that works for a major Ose Donor. Ose relayed a message and a veiled threat to the Central Committee member through their relative to “do the right thing and vote against the endorsement”.

This may seem like standard faire for a campaign, but it merits mention because…

The main gripe of so many on Doug Ose’s endorsement list was that Rico Oller is a dirty campaigner.

As you will learn soon, this incident of Ose using boorish campaign tactics is a long-set pattern for him. Ose has no moral high ground, both for his amoral stances on the issues… but also as proven by his behavior as a campaigner.

Now that Rico Oller is out, and McClintock is in… what is the excuse now for supporting Doug Ose?
