Home-schooling Parents Enthusiastic for McClintock in Roseville
Published on March 29, 2008
Roseville—State Senator Tom McClintock spoke to about 100 enthusiastic parent educators Saturday at a home-schooling project fair in Roseville.
“We must defend the right to choose how we educate our children,” McClintock said.
Commenting on a recent ruling by the 2nd District Court of Appeals that all but declared the practice illegal, McClintock was unwavering in his support of families who choose to teach their children at home rather than send them to public school.
“Parents have a fundamental right to educate their own children, it is a right that we must protect,” McClintock said. “Once they infringe on the rights of home-schoolers, they will infringe on other rights of all parents. We must not lose our freedom.”
A leading voice of California conservatives, McClintock shared insights of how impactful the homeschooling community has been at the State Capitol, making a difference on public policy.
After delivering his remarks, McClintock visited with those in attendance, pausing to take photos with students in front of their exhibits.
More than a hundred individual projects were on display, showcasing skills in a wide range of categories including; science, history, geography, and fine arts.
While McClintock was speaking to parent educators, volunteer supporters were walking precincts.

I appreciate Mr. McClintock and his stance on many issues, including the home schooling issue. What seat is he running for, and if you live in a different district, can you help? (I live in Wally Hergers district).
