Doug Ose Redlines the BS-O-Meter Part 2 - I'm Pro-Gun!!! (ARE YOU KIDDING ME!?)

I can’t make this stuff up – let’s lead off with 1380 KTKZ Capitol Hour clip number two… Doug Ose boldly proclaims that he is Pro-Gun!
Lie Number Two: I’m the only guy who did anything to protect your right to keep and bear arms!
Doug Ose on his ‘support’ of the 2nd Amendment:Javascript and Flash must be enabled and installed to play this audio file.
This first thing that jumps out at me is that Ose highlights his support of a bill making it more difficult to purchase ANY ammo, not just the types he highlights in his comments.
We have harped for weeks about Ose getting a D+ from the NRA and an “F” from Gun Owners of America. You don’t get those scores from a couple bad votes. You get those scores from an open record of hostility to the 2nd ammendment.
Ose also takes another cheap shot at Tom McClintock and Rico Oller – stating that they have done nothing at the state level to stop “infringement after infringement”. Because of groups like the MainStreet Partnership that spend their money attacking Conservatives instead of Democrats – Ose is helping to ensure that Republican State Senators stay in the minority.
Gun Owner’s of America wrote the following on their blog that I picked up here a few weeks ago that further shows Ose’s statements to be a bald-faced lie: (excerpt – note this was written in the context of Rico Oller vs Doug Ose)
Point three. Rico has a primary opponent in former liberal Republican Congressman Doug Ose. During Ose’s six years in Congress, he earned a GOA “F” on every single one of our ratings for house members.
Ose voted IN FAVOR of keeping the Washington D.C. gun ban. He voted to outlaw individual sales at gun shows. He voted for mandatory sale of trigger locks for any handgun sold. He voted to silence outside groups like GOA at election time.
Doug Ose probably has his picture framed and hanging on the wall at Handgun Control Inc. (now the Brady Campaign to Prevent Gun Violence), since he was one of their best friends in Congress.
