Club for Growth endorses Rico Oller

Posted by Aaron Park on February 04, 2008 at 02:14 PM

Ken Campbell for sent this information out to all of us.

I have taken the occasion to LINK the Blog posting from the Club for Growth endorsing Rico Oller.

In contrast to Oller’s stellar record, his likely opponent, former Congressman Doug Ose, has a lackluster record that includes voting for increased spending, increased regulation, and limiting economic freedom:

Voted for McCain-Feingold and against protecting political free speech (RC #240, 02/14/02)

Voted against school choice (RC #135, 05/23/01)

Voted against eliminating money for pork projects, like wood utilization (RC #160, 05/26/99) and peanut competitiveness (RC#161, 05/26/99)

Voted against the Republican Study Committee budget that would cut wasteful spending (RC #73, 03/23/00) (RC #79, 03/20/03) and for a Democratic budget (RC #75, 03/25/99)

Voted to spend taxpayer money on mohair subsidies (RC #383, 07/11/00)

Voted for the fiscally irresponsible Medicare Prescription Drug Bill (RC #669, 11/22/03)

Sponsored 37 bills to increase spending by $46.7 billion in the 107th Congress

Life, Liberty and the Pursuit of Happiness…that’s what a conservative believies in and that’s what a conservative fights for. That is the type of conservative, voters in the 4th CD have always elected and will elect in the future.

Like it or not, here are the Facts:

Fact: Ose is anti-life, pro-abortion, pro-abortion funding here and abroad, check his voting record! (There goes Life…)

Fact: Ose supported campaign finance reforms that muzzles, hog ties and penalizes groups like the Gun Owners of America, NRA, etc. from talking about candidates and their voting records 60 days before an election. Check the record. (There goes Liberty…)

Fact: Ose was one of the most anti-gun Rebublicans during his time in Congress earning an “F” rating from GOA his entire term. He was like a poster child for Sarah Brady of the Brady Campaign-formerly known as Handgun Control Inc. Americans delight in buying, trading, owning, shooting and hunting with guns of all types, it makes them Happy…ooops! (There goes pursuit of Happiness.)

Calling Doug Ose a conservative because he cast some good votes on fiscal issues (never the single vote that made the difference) doesn’t pass the chuckle test.

Come on!

On the record, for the record and about the whole record tell the truth!

Doug Ose is a liberal to moderate former Congressman who wants to represent one of the most conservative districts in CA. That’s the truth! And if you can’t handle the truth…tough! Twisting it or leaving some of it out won’t change the truth.

Thank the Good Lord above…the truth will win in the end…
