The Kool-Aid Award goes to... Health Net Insurance Company

Here is a Kool-Aid award dedicated to true idiocy.

It would seem from their behavior that Health Net wants to usher in the world of socialized medicine!
This attached article details how Health Net got fined $9 million for canceling a policy midway through a policyholder’s cancer treatment.
According to the article LINKED HERE, the ridiculous behavior of Health Net did not stop nor end there.
The award came a day after the Los Angeles city attorney sued Health Net, claiming it illegally canceled the coverage of about 1,600 patients. City Attorney Rocky Delgadillo also said the company illegally ran an incentive program in which it paid bonuses to an administrator for meeting targets of policy cancelations.
Health Net acknowledged that such a program existed in 2002 and 2003 but was subsequently scrapped.
Based on the way Health Net behaves, I’d bet someone who ended up in the hospital after drinking the Kool-Aid would get their policy canceled by Health Net while being treated.
As an insurance agent – this is particularly troubling because I am told by my company reps that their company acts in good faith and has excellent claims management.
It is apparent that California Health Insurance companies are stupid and they must want people to get so fed up with them that they decide to let Arnold and his fellow Democrats take the system over.
When companies have incentives for canceling policies and also make life hell on applicants (I know from personal experience with numerous clients), they deserve to have themselves steamrolled by the do-gooder Liberals in government.
For being pathetically stupid and getting fined once again – this Jug’s for you Health Net!
