The Capitol Hour with Eric Hogue

Posted by Eric Hogue on February 16, 2008 at 09:14 AM

My new show starts on March 3rd on 1380 KTKZ.

Yes, it is a victorious return to 1380 KTKZ and political talk radio. The show will be called “The Capitol Hour”. It will focus and feature politics, legislation and the politicians themselves. There will be remotes, debates and townhall luncheons, as the show will be “live” each day with news ‘making and breaking’ segments.

I’m working on scheduling Governor Schwarzenegger, Sacramento Mayor Heather Fargo, possible mayoral candidate Kevin Johnson, Sacramento County Supervisor Roger Dickenson and the future Speaker of the Assembly Darrell Steinberg.

Confirmed and schedule for the first week of broadcast:

March 3: State Senator Jeff Denham and Assemblyman Chuck DeVore

March 4: Congressional Candidate for District 4, former State Senator Rico Oller

March 5: Republican Assembly Caucus Leader Mike Villines (session permitting)

March 6: Sacramento Bee Political Columnist Daniel Weintraub

March 7: Congressional Candidate for District 4, former Congressman Doug Ose

Each day will focus on three-to-four topics, interviews and issues. I will bring (in-studio) in the news makers themselves, facing my questions and your ‘live’ calls to the switchboard at 1380 KTKZ.

KTKZ’s marketing and promotional department is working on monthly remote broadcasts inside the surrounding counties at local lunch locations, (if you own an establishment and would like to be a host, call the details provided below), affording each county an opportunity to speak to their local political interests with a ‘live’, townhall forum-styled broadcast.

Once a month, we are hoping to broadcast “live” from a restaurant near the Capitol (Chops, for “Chops Talk”?), as we invite a Republican and a Democrat dignitary for some fast-paced, wrestle rhetoric for lunch. (The “GOP/Dem Chairman Cage Matches” will be returning in the future.)

I’m excited about the show, and I’m very happy to be back on KTKZ talking politics each day. The market needs this show, and it is a perfect time to return to 1380am. Spread the word to other, and call the show.

Interested advertisers can call the KTKZ Office (916/924-0710) and ask for Val King in our marketing department, Val has worked with me for 7-years, he is good representing my clients. If you are desiring to advertise, call quickly…former clients are storming bacl to KTKZ and this new show, space will be limited.

Help spread the word, and I’ll be speaking with you at noon startng March 3…on ‘Intelligent, Conservative Talk Radio’ 1380 KTKZ in Sacramento…and “The Capitol Hour” with Eric Hogue.

Thank you for the support, it’s great to be back at the mic for conservative ideals in “The Belly of the Beast”.

You know, if I were a fighting man, I’d bring up an old and tired argument. But I won’t. Darn, it’s good to have you back Eric. I really have missed your take on the mic.
