The Kool-Aid Award 9/23/2007 goes to...

Posted by Aaron Park on September 23, 2007 at 10:28 AM

1st Runner-Up: Rex Archer…

The Unions spend $400,000 trying to get you elected over Dan Logue and you lose. Then you get banned 2/23/2007 from Plums Lake “dot” info due to misinformation and you get banned from the Yuba Appeal-Democrat’s Yuba Highlands blog page.

Why? misinformation and lies… what do you do for an encore?

You try to recall Dan Logue! I’d offer the “Kenny” to Archer, but Archer has been imbibing for a long time.

The only people that could trump Rex Archer this week are those who have decided to team up with him!

Johnson-Clark Associates! Like in so many campaigns before, they have pre-arranged a load of out-of-district endorsements that mean very little. They start parceling them out and when this blogger and others point out that while Mike DuVall, Mimi Walters and the Stricklands are good legislators… their endorsements matter little in a Northern California regional race.

Logue introduces Tim Leslie and Rico Oller who still poll very highly in Northern California and Johnson-Clark says through anonymous commenters that they are has-beens! JCA then responds with still more out of district endorsements.

When those endorsements stop working, you start attacking Dan Logue for defending property rights and enlist Kenny award runner-up Rex Archer to foment a recall against your opponent. Archer has been a long-time vassal of the unions and enviros… nice job of running a Republican’s campaign for office.

(blogger’s note: at least Tim Clark posted comments under his own name – I’ll credit him for that)

Given the way Horne’s campaign is being run, you have to wonder if she is a Republican! I wonder what the people in Nevada County think about all of this!? (Nevada is Horne’s home County)

This jug’s for you, Johnson-Clark Associates!

Spare me the property rights rhetoric. With property rights come responsibility. As soon as you can build a chicken farm next to Wal Mart in Yuba County let me know. Then we can start talking about property rights. Property rights do not trump all and to think that we have unlimited property rights in California is so disingenuous.

Recall Logue

Not one thing you have written in this so called article is true.
1. Rex Archer received 3,000.00 in contributions total, Dan Logue received over 150,000.00 for a local supervisors race. When making statements it is always nice to check the State site with the listings of contributions before giving such outright misinformation.

2. Rex Archer has never been banned from the Appeal Democrat site. This can also be checked very easy by contacting the editor of the newspaper.

3. Plumas Lake you almost have right. He was banned from there but, not because of lies or misinformation. It was because they felt he “repeated” his posts to much and the people did not want to hear of the danger they are in living in the flood zone.

4. Rex Archer is not with the “enviros” as you said, he has never been an advocate of either side on this issue. You can also find the truth on this by simply doing a google search and you will find many of the things he has said in the past and enviro is not one of the discussions. Taking into the fact that you have neither met nor talked with Mr. Archer you would have to be just shooting out of your hip pocket on that one.

5. How in the world you get that anyone had Rex AND THE CITIZENS OF LINDA start a recall is beyond me. I am on the recall committee and have never heard of any of the people you reporting “put us up to the recall”.

If you want to have a credible site that people will actually believe, then STATE THE FACTS AS THEY ARE.
