BRAAAAAK!!! EARMARK ALERT!!! Ron Paul, say it ain't so!?!?!?

Posted by Aaron Park on December 24, 2007 at 04:04 PM

Could the unflappable Ron Paul have drank the Earmark Kool-Aid!?

Or, maybe Ron Paul was trying to help his district?

I wonder what Ken Campbell would say about this??? Would he make a front page story saying he could no longer support the patron saint of small government any longer?

The SHOCKING TRUTH about Ron Paul selling out LINKED here…

Have you seen the new 4th Lane on I-80 and the Sierra College overpass? Doolittle!

The second lane (in both directions) on Sierra College going up the hill – Doolittle!

The new Folsom Dam Bridge – Doolittle!!!

But- in the minds of the ABD Caucus, these Earmarks are evil because John Doolittle voted for other people’s Earmarks.

I think I’ve paid for those myself. I want to see more, like 4 lanes all the way to the Nevada border. And what about all the cracks and potholes, I pay 50 cents a gallon in gas tax.

I don’t see a problem with this if the Congressman brings back the same amount of tax dollars his constituents put in the government’s hands. The best bet is to have such a small government that the amount put in and taken back out are also small. I have a problem with states like WV that put in a small amount of tax dollars and yet a $10B road to no where is erected with a very small population using it. And yet here in South Placer Co. our traffic, roads, bridges, dams etc are so horrible and in need of repair and yet we either get nothing in return for our tax dollars or they are spent on something useless like handicap parking spots or research on the spotted owl.
